"I thought you'd never ask." I say it with a smile, getting up carefully in case my leg decides to lock up in the cold. It doesn't, thankfully, and I sling the bag of buns over my shoulder and grab the tray with the hot chocolate. It's been surprising how easy this is, being friends.
